FDC petitions police over conduct of rival supporters

Daily Monitor's Thembo Kahungu Misairi and  Felix Basiime report that FDC supporters have petitioned the police over the unfair treatment of Dr. Kizza Besigye at campaign rallies

Forum for Democratic Change members in Kasese District have petitioned the police protesting against the conduct of some NRM supporters who allegedly disrupted campaign rallies for Inter-party Cooperation presidential candidate Kizza Besigye while in the district last week.
FDC’s Christopher Kibanzanga alleged last week that NRM supporters disrupted rallies at Mubuku Trading Centre and in Karusandara Sub-county.

Mr Kibanzanga said they have asked the police to investigate the matter. He said the suspects should be treated individually.
Three people have so far recorded statements at the police, he added.

Woman MP Winfred Kiiza (FDC) asked FDC supporters in the district to be law-abiding during the campaign period.
